He was one of three coaches nominated for Best Acting Teacher in Stagecoach's Performing Arts Schools' worldwide network of over 700 schools in 2019, and is a sought-after private acting and singing coach for young people - Josh has coached some of his students for almost 10 years. Actor/singer/composer/lucky guy Josh Cruddas is best-known for his roles as Ben Bertolucci in SONY Pictures' new movie Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, as assassin Alexei in the Netflix Original movie movie Polar, alongside Mads Mikkelsen, Vanessa Hudgens and Johnny Knoxville, and as Ian in Shudder's new horror classic Anything For Jackson. He was nominated for the ACTRA Award for Best Actor in a feature film for Warner Bros' American Civil War epic Copperhead.
Other TV/Film credits include Cardinal, Hudson and Rex, Future Man, Baroness Von Sketch Show, 11/22/63, Murdoch Mysteries, TallBoyz, The Detectives, Doomlands,Private Eyes, Rookie Blue, Reign and SEE alongside Jason Momoa. How It Ends for Netflix, and The Silencing. He's played a villain in Roland Emmerich (Independence Day)’s new disaster movie for Lionsgate, Moonfall with Halle Berry, and his upcoming work includes supporting roles in two movies and various TV guest star roles. One of his favourite jobs yet was the Mad Hatter in the kids' show Ghostwriter for AppleTV! He's fortunate to be a 3-time SOCAN Foundation Award-winning music composer for film and TV, most recently scoring HBO Asia's new flagship drama Dream Raider – for which a soundtrack album is available everywhere. He's also incredibly lucky to be entering his 9th year teaching at Stagecoach Schools, where he was honoured to be nominated for Best Drama Teacher worldwide in 2019. Acting and Music were vital forms of creativity, fun and courage for Josh as a young person, and he aims to bring all 3 of those qualities (with a healthy dose of humour) to every class, and to every student. |
